Giving Day Message

Dear Orange Friends:

Tomorrow is a first for Syracuse University. At 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, we will launch Syracuse University’s first day of giving.

Leading this ambitious 24-hour campaign called “Boost the ’Cuse” with a generous challenge gift is alumnus and recent Arents Award recipient Dan D’Aniello ’68. Dan and his wife, Gayle, are challenging Syracuse alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, friends, and fans to give back to Syracuse. I accept Dan’s challenge and will make my gift tomorrow, and I hope you, along with thousands of others, will too.

Being part of the Syracuse University community forges a strong bond. We are a community that values and strives for continued academic excellence and an unsurpassed student experience. One that comes together in support of a shared passion. And one that believes in making a difference in the lives of our students and creating positive change on campus and around the world.

Tomorrow is a wonderful and fun opportunity to show your Syracuse pride. I look forward to seeing the Orange community in action, and both Ruth and I are proud to be part of it.

Please visit mission.syr.edu and take advantage of the many giving challenges, then make your own gift to the area of the University that means the most to you. I look forward to participating in all of the giving activity tomorrow and celebrating this successful effort with you!

Sincerely,

Kent Syverud
